OUR IDENTITY

The Conservation Center of Energy and Environment – CENERGIA - was created in 1985 as a nonprofit association, integrating efforts of companies and institutions of public and private sectors interested in promoting energy efficiency in the country. In 1994, its objectives were expanded to promote environmental conservation and development of new and renewable energies.

CENERGIA is a specialized institution whose purpose is to promote energy efficiency in all economic activities in the country. It prepares studies for policy and regulatory institutions of the electricity sector, implements projects devoted to the execution of best practices in the use of energy in companies, conducts studies of measures for the prevention and mitigation of negative environmental impacts of production and service activities in the country.

CENERGIA is a pioneer in the development of activities for efficient use of energy in Peru.

Its partners are: Ministry of Energy and Mines, Electroperú S.A., Petroperú S.A., National Society of Industries (SNI) and Development Finance Corporation (COFIDE).
